About Us

LGBTQI Associació Far is a volunteer-led association based in Barcelona, Catalunya, supporting LGBTQ+ people navigating displacement, relocation, and asylum-related challenges.

“Far” means lighthouse in Catalan — a symbol of guidance, safety, and hope. We believe queer people deserve dignity, community, and the chance to build a safer future.

Through mutual aid, resource-sharing, advocacy, and community collaboration, we work to help guide people toward safety while preserving queer stories, research, and cultural memory.
